Air Arabia, the renowned low-cost carrier based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has initiated its inaugural non-stop flight service from Ras Al Khaimah to Kozhikode (Calicut) in the vibrant state of Kerala, India.

Marking a significant milestone in air travel between the two destinations, this new route, designated as G9 728, will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The departure schedule for G9 728 involves a takeoff from Ras Al Khaimah at 2:55 pm, and the flight is set to touch down in Kozhikode at 8:10 pm on the same day.

Subsequently, the return journey, G9 729, will depart from Kozhikode at 8:50 pm and land in Ras Al Khaimah at 11:25 pm. This carefully planned schedule aims to cater to the convenience of travelers, offering flexibility and multiple options for those commuting between these two vibrant locations.

The inaugural flight, which embarked on its journey on November 22, was commemorated with a special ceremony at RAK International Airport. The event drew the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Engr.

Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation, Ras Al Khaimah; Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul-General of India to Dubai and the Northern Regions; and Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive of Air Arabia.

The ceremony was also attended by various trade partners and other distinguished guests.

The introduction of this new direct flight marks a significant enhancement in connectivity between Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Kozhikode International Airport.

With a frequency of three flights per week, this service not only caters to the growing demand for air travel between these two locations but also reflects the commitment of Air Arabia to provide convenient and cost-effective travel options.

Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi expressed his views on the occasion, stating, “The introduction of this new route underscores Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to advancing its aviation sector and enhancing connectivity.

Air Arabia’s new service aligns with our vision of developing Ras Al Khaimah’s regional and international air travel, which contributes significantly to the growth of our tourism sector.”

Adel Al Ali, the Group Chief Executive of Air Arabia, emphasized the broader implications of this new route, saying, “This new route not only strengthens our commitment to offering convenient and value-driven travel options between both cities but also reflects the strong tourism and trade ties between both nations.”
